Mr Phoon Kok Hwa

Phoon Kok Hwa is the first and currently only Professional Action Learning Coach, outside of US, with the World Institute for Action Learning (WIAL).

Driven by his higher purpose to serve humanity and to bring the best in others, he wears the hat of a trainer, coach and facilitator when working with organisations. Kok Hwa has trained and coached Action Learning teams in many organizations in both the public and private sectors to help them solve complex and strategic business challenges, while at the same time developing the individual, team and organisation. He has led and participated in Action Learning Programmes under Microsoft talent and leadership development programmes for MBA hires, High Potentials, and Senior Leaders in both Singapore and Greater China Region.

Other organizations he has trained or coached include Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB), Rohde & Schwarz, Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH), SingHealth Academy, People’s Association (PA), etc.  As a keen advocate of Action Learning, he was also frequently invited to share his experience and best practices at various Action Learning forums, e.g., WIAL Asia Forum 2013 (Singapore), WIAL Asia Forum 2014 (Taiwan), as well as Action Learning education sessions in organizations such as International Coaching Federation (ICF), Institute of Adult Learning (IAL), etc.

Kok Hwa is also a process facilitator and has helped facilitate visioning workshops, focus group discussions etc with Ministry of Health (MOH), Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC), Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) and Junior Chamber International (JCI).
